Right now – this very second – a baby or a child is dying somewhere in the world.
In Gaza, where war, hunger, and blockades have created a constant crisis, children’s lives are being cut short. But it’s not just Gaza. It’s Yemen. Sudan. Afghanistan. Syria. The list goes on.
These are not just numbers in a report.
They are names never called in a classroom.
Tiny hands that never got to hold a pencil.
Laughter that was never heard.
How did we get here?
We live in the most connected era in human history. We have resources, technology, and knowledge.
And yet, millions of children still lack the most basic needs: food, shelter, and safety.
In Gaza, children are literally starving to death while the world watches – or worse, looks away.
Silence kills
The most dangerous weapon is not just the bombs.
It’s indifference.
That we have grown used to images of wounded children.
That we scroll past photos of small bodies wrapped in blankets.
What can we do?
- Raise awareness. Talk, write, share.
- Support organizations working for children’s right to survive, to be safe, and to learn.
- Break the silence. Your voice is stronger than you think.
We must see the children in Gaza – and in every conflict zone – as our own. Their lives are not worth less than ours.
Every second counts. Every voice matters.
